Yudokoro Kasai is a casual super sentō (Japanese-style public bathhouse) located in Higashi-Kasai, Edogawa Ward, Tokyo. It offers a wide variety of baths, saunas, relaxation services, and
meals. Whether after work, after a trip, or on a day off, it's a place where you can unwind your
body and mind alone, with friends, or with family.

What is a sentō?

A sentō is a traditional public bathhouse in Japan that dates back to the Edo period. It once served as a community gathering spot where many people came to heal the fatigue of daily life. Even today, sentō remain beloved spaces where people can relax and refresh in a variety of baths and saunas.

Easy to enter

You can purchase a bathing ticket at one of the two vending machines close to the entrance.
Cash, e-money, and bar code payment methods are
accepted. You can also purchase a multi-use ticket with any
the major credit cards at the reception.

TIPS No coin needed for shoe lockers

The shoe lockers at the entrance can be locked without coins, allowing for smooth entry.

Feel the totonoi

Perfect for those seeking an authentic sauna experience.
Sweat it out in the dry sauna equipped with an auto
löyly (steam infusion) system or in the natural herb steam
sauna. Then cool down in the open-air rest area. You'll feel
deeply refreshed.

TIPS What is the totonoi

In Japanese, totonoeru means to condition, to put in order. Transferred to the context of saunaing, it takes on the meaning of achieving a state of balance and harmony. Recently, this word has come to describe the deeply relaxed condition one reaches after alternating between sauna and outdoor rest.

TIPS What is akasuri?

Akasuri literally means scrubbing off residue. It is a traditional beauty treatment that removes dead skin using a special towel, leaving the skin smooth.
At Yudokoro Kasai, our akasuri treatments combine this traditional method with esthetic elements for a unique experience.

Can I use the facility without bringing anything?

Towels are not included in the bathing fee.
We do not offer towel rentals, so please bring your own or purchase one at the facility.
However, shampoo, conditioner, and body soap are provided in the bathing area.

Do lockers cost money?

Yes, both shoe lockers and changing room lockers are free of charge.

Is there a parking lot?

Yes, we have free parking for approximately 250 vehicles.

Are indoor clothes provided?

We do not provide indoor wear.

Can I use credit cards or electronic money?

Transportation IC cards and QR payments are accepted. (Charging is not available.)
Credit cards can be used for some products only.

Until what time can I use the bath?

Sunday to Thursday: The bathing area is available until 11:45 PM. (The facility closes at midnight.)
Fridays, Saturdays, and nights before holidays: The bathing area is available until 12:45 AM. (The facility closes at 1:00 AM.)

Are tattoos or body art allowed?

Bathing is strictly prohibited for anyone with tattoos, regardless of size, number, or location (this includes stickers and body paint).
We also do not allow the use of stickers, supporters, or tape.
If such cases are discovered after entering, staff will ask the guest to leave immediately. (Admission fees will not be refunded.)
Additionally, individuals associated with anti-social organizations are not allowed to bathe, regardless of whether they have tattoos.

Is there a shuttle bus?

No shuttle bus is available. Please use the Toei Bus service.

Do prepaid tickets have an expiration date?

Prepaid tickets can be used without an expiration date.

Can I just dine or use the body care services?

Yes, you can use just the dining or body care services.

Can babies use the bath?

Yes, babies can bathe from 0 years old, but admission fees apply starting from age 0.
Diaper changing tables are available in both men’s and women’s dressing rooms.

Until what age can children of the opposite sex enter the bath?

Children taller than 115 cm are not allowed in the opposite sex's bathing area, regardless of age (even if under 6).

Can I use a wheelchair or cane in the facility?

Wheelchairs and canes can be used in the facility, but not inside the bathing area.
Please bathe with a same-gender caregiver if assistance is needed.

Can children enter alone?

Elementary and middle school students may enter alone until 8:00 PM (must leave by 9:00 PM).
High school students may enter alone until 10:00 PM (must leave by 11:00 PM).

Can I use the facility as a runner’s spa or running station?

Yes, you may store your belongings in a locker and go jogging.

Can I re-enter the bath?

Re-entry is allowed on weekdays only. 【Weekdays only】10:00 AM – 11:00 PM
However, you must remain within the facility during your stay.
This system is not available on weekends, holidays, Obon, New Year's, or other extended holiday periods.

Can I bring in food or drinks?

Bringing in food or drinks is not allowed.

Is there a nap room?

There is no nap room.

Is Wi-Fi available?

Yes, free Wi-Fi is available. The password is posted inside the facility.

Is there a coin laundry?

Please use a nearby coin laundry.

Is there a smoking area?

Smoking is prohibited inside the facility. There is an outdoor smoking area.

Can I park a camper van, bus, or large truck?

There are no dedicated parking spaces for large vehicles.

How long are lost items kept?

Lost items—whether reported or not—are kept for up to one month (excluding food, drinks, and items with strong odors).
Valuables are generally handed over to the police within 1 to 2 weeks.
Items not claimed within the storage period will be disposed of in accordance with our policy.
